When I don't have to deal with certain people. A guy who I work with was sent home last week indefinitely, and it has taken so much weight off of my shoulders. He used to be my floor partner, but after getting snaked out of 2 deals last month and his growing personality defects, things finally came to a head last week. The issues with me are not why he's in the situation now, and honestly not even a factor (salesmen fight all the time), so don't think that I feel vindicated. However, it's probably terrible that I feel better without him around. But seeing how things are going now for myself and others, I can't not say that he was a cancer. But I feel guilty that another mans livelihood hangs in the balance and I'm relieved about it.

Think about it this way, what you think about it doesn't matter and won't affect him anyways right? So be glad that you're self conscious in what you're thinking and that you're not an arrogant prick! (Not that you would be if you werent self conscious in this scenario)

You dont want him not to have a job though you are just glad to not be around him anymore the two things are closely related but that doesnt mean you have to feel like you are evil or something. Sucks for the guy but it sounds like it was his own choices and responsibility.
